20 Steel Foundation Tubes for a Silo Project in Moerdijk
Solines supplied 20 steel foundation tubes for the foundations of intermediate silos in Moerdijk, the Netherlands. The order included both the steel tubes and custom fabrication with drill points and injection lances. This gave the customer a single point of contact for tube supply and fabrication.
The order included two tube sizes: 14 tubes measuring Ø 355.6 × 8.00 millimeters and 6 tubes measuring Ø 559.0 × 9.00 millimeters. Dimensions are listed as outside diameter × wall thickness.
Solines Welding & Construction handled the custom tube fabrication, fitting the foundation tubes with drill points and injection lances. At the job site, the tubes were then screwed into the ground using a piling rig as part of the silo foundations.
The Moerdijk project illustrates how Solines combines steel tube supply with custom fabrication for foundation applications. The customer was able to source both the tubes and the associated welding services and fabrication work from Solines.
