Nearly 84 Metric Tons of Steel Tubes Ø 508.0 x 9.65 Millimeters in Stock
This week, Solines BV in Moerdijk is highlighting a substantial new stock lot comprising more than 700 meters of longitudinally welded steel tubes Ø 508.0 x 9.65 millimeters. Manufactured in steel grade S355J2H in accordance with EN 10219, each tube has a standard length of 12,000 millimeters. The lot weighs nearly 84 metric tons in total and is available for immediate delivery from stock. Based on the nominal dimensions, the theoretical weight is approximately 118.6 kilograms per meter.
The combination of Ø 508.0 x 9.65 millimeters and S355J2H makes these tubes suitable for a wide range of load-bearing applications, subject to project-specific structural calculations. Potential uses include steel tube piles, foundation tubes, casing tubes, tubular struts and steel columns. They can also be used as structural tubes in civil engineering, infrastructure and industrial construction. In marine construction, possible applications include guide structures, fender structures and tubular support elements, provided that loads, connections, corrosion allowances and installation methods are properly assessed.
