Steel tubes Ø 406.4 x 11.10 millimeters – L245 and J55

This week, Solines BV in Moerdijk is highlighting a new batch of longitudinally welded steel tubes Ø 406.4 x 11.10 mm in steel grades L245 and J55. The two grades are stored together in a batch totaling more than 900 meters and weighing nearly 100 metric tons. Standard lengths are approximately 12,000 and 13,000 mm. These tubes are available for immediate delivery from stock at Solines BV.

For foundation work, these tubes can serve as steel tube piles, foundation tubes, or casing to support boreholes. In excavations, potential applications include bracing struts; in load-bearing steel structures, structural tubes can serve as steel columns. These applications span civil engineering and infrastructure projects. In marine construction, potential uses include components of guide structures and fender systems. Suitability depends on the structural design, including loads, effective buckling length, connections, and corrosion allowance.
