Nearly 120 Metric Tons of Steel Tubes Ø 406.4 x 10.00 Millimeters
This week’s Batch in the Spotlight at Solines BV in Moerdijk comprises more than 1,200 meters of longitudinally welded steel tubes Ø 406.4 x 10.00 millimeters. With a total weight of nearly 120 metric tons, the tubes have a minimum steel grade of S235 and are available in individual lengths of up to 8,000 millimeters. The complete stock lot is available for immediate delivery and can be processed to meet project-specific requirements.
Based on their diameter and wall thickness, and subject to project-specific engineering, these steel tubes may be used as steel tubular piles, foundation tubes, casing tubes or protective sleeves. Other potential uses include tubular struts, steel columns and structural tubes for civil engineering, infrastructure and industrial steel structures. For guide piles, fender structures and other marine construction applications, loads, soil conditions, installation methods, weld details, corrosion exposure and design life must be assessed. Use in load-bearing steel structures or foundation systems requires structural verification against applicable standards.
Solines Welding & Construction can process these tubes in accordance with project drawings and fabrication requirements. Services include cutting to length, welding into longer sections and forming expanded bell ends, as well as preparing beveled ends for welding. Components such as base plates, end plates, flanges, drill points, drilling heads, pile tips and structural plates can also be fitted.
