Over 240 Metric Tons of Spiral-Welded Steel Tubes Ø 610.0 x 9.50 Millimeters
This week, Solines BV in Moerdijk is presenting an interesting stock lot. It consists of a very large inventory of spiral-welded steel tubes Ø 610.0 x 9.50 millimeters in steel grade S355J2H, manufactured in accordance with EN 10219. The tubes have a standard length of 12.00 meters. The lot comprises more than 1,700 meters, weighs over 240 metric tons, and is available for immediate delivery from Solines BV stock.
Spiral-welded tubes are used as large-diameter pile tubes and foundation tubes, but the suitability of Ø 610.0 x 9.50 millimeters for driven or drilled foundation work must always be assessed for the specific project. Other realistic applications include strut tubes and braces for excavation support, casing tubes for underground infrastructure, temporary support structures, and structural tubes for steel columns and industrial steel structures. In marine construction, potential uses include guide piles, support tubes, and primary tube elements in combined walls, subject to calculations covering loads, connections, corrosion, and installation methods.
Solines Welding & Construction can cut the steel tubes Ø 610.0 x 9.50 millimeters to length, extend them using circumferential welds, and provide them with a bevel or weld preparation. Based on project drawings, components such as base plates, bottom plates, flanges, stiffener plates, structural plates, pile heads, or sheet pile interlocks can be welded to the tubes. This allows the tubes to be prepared for columns, support structures, combined walls, and other steel structures. All welding is performed by experienced, certified welders. Additional weld inspections or material testing can also be arranged when required.
