This week Solines BV in Moerdijk has an interesting batch in view. It concerns longitudinally welded steel tubes Ø 457.0 x 14.20 millimeters in steel grade S355J2H according to EN10219. The tubes have a standard length of 14.20 meters, a total length of approximately 420 meters and a total weight of about 65 tons. These longitudinally welded structural tubes are available directly from stock at Solines BV.
Steel tubes with a diameter of Ø 457.0 millimeters and a wall thickness of 14.20 millimeters are widely used in civil engineering and infrastructure projects. In practice, tubes of this size are regularly used as pile tubes and foundation tubes in foundation construction. They are also applied as casing or sleeve tubes in foundation works, as structural tubes in load-bearing steel structures and as steel columns in industrial construction.
